Ultimate Lasagna Burger
Ingredients:
For the Meat Sauce:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 cup tomato sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Lasagna Layers:
2 lasagna sheets, cooked and cut into squares
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
For the Burger:
4 sesame seed burger buns
4 slices bacon, cooked until crispy
4 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
Fresh arugula (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Meat Sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Stir in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes and set aside.
2. Cook the Lasagna Sheets: Cook the lasagna sheets according to package instructions. Cut into squares that fit the size of the burger buns.
3. Assemble the Lasagna Layer: Spread a spoonful of ricotta cheese on one lasagna square, top with shredded mozzarella, and spoon over some meat sauce. Repeat for each layer, creating mini lasagna stacks.
4. Build the Burger: Toast the burger buns. Place a lasagna stack on the bottom bun, add a slice of mozzarella cheese, bacon strips, and fresh arugula (if using). Top with the bun lid.
5. Serve: Serve immediately with a side of fries or salad for the ultimate comfort food experience.
