Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
For the Shrimp:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Alfredo Sauce:
3 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Pasta:
12 oz fettuccine pasta
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Steak:
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness). Remove from skillet and let rest.
Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add the shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce:
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Stir in heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Assemble the Dish:
Toss the cooked fettuccine in the Alfredo sauce until evenly coated. Plate the pasta.
Slice the rested steak and arrange it over the pasta. Top with cooked shrimp.
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and freshly cracked black pepper. Serve immediately and enjoy!
