Ingredients:
For the Surf and Turf:
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb steak (sirloin or filet), cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil, divided
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
For the Alfredo Sauce:
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Pasta:
8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
Boil the pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Surf and Turf:
Season the shrimp and steak pieces with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet and sauté the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and nutmeg (if using) until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine Everything:
Toss the cooked pasta in the Alfredo sauce until well coated. Top with the cooked steak and shrimp.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. Pair with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
Chef’s Tip: For added flavor, drizzle the dish with a touch of truffle oil or sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
