Surf and Turf Alfredo

A luxurious dish combining the best of both worlds—succulent grilled shrimp and perfectly cooked steak served over creamy Alfredo pasta. A showstopper for a special dinner!

Ingredients
:
For the Steak and Shrimp:
1 steak (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon)
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced

Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp unsalted butter
For the Alfredo Sauce:
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, minced

1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper, to taste
1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
For the Pasta:
8 oz fettuccine or linguine
Salt, for boiling water
Garnish:
Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
:
Prepare the Pasta:

Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Steak:

Season the steak with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Heat a skillet over high heat and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to desired doneness.
Remove from skillet, let rest for 5 minutes, and slice thinly.
Cook the Shrimp:

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Toss shrimp with garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, then sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce:

In a clean skillet or saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
Stir in heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Slowly whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Let simmer until thickened.
Combine:

Toss the cooked pasta with the Alfredo sauce until evenly coated.
Plate the pasta and top with shrimp and steak slices.
Garnish and Serve:

Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Tips
:
Add a splash of white wine to the Alfredo sauce for extra depth.
Substitute shrimp with lobster or scallops for an elevated twist.
Enjoy this indulgent surf and turf masterpiece!
