Strawberry Heart Puff Pastries Recipe
Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

½ cup strawberry jam

Fresh strawberries, sliced

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter. You will need two heart shapes for each pastry.

3. On half of the hearts, cut out a smaller heart from the center to create a border. These will be the top layers.

4. Spread a small amount of strawberry jam in the center of the full heart shapes (bottom layers), leaving a small border around the edges.

5. Place the heart borders on top of the jam-covered hearts and gently press the edges together with a fork.

6. Brush the top with beaten egg and place a fresh strawberry slice in the center.

7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and puffed.

8. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve and enjoy your delightful strawberry heart pastries!
