Seasoned Rice
Ingredients
2 cups long-grain white rice
3 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Directions
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add rice and stir to coat in butter. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until lightly toasted.
Stir in chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15-18 minutes until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot.
