Pepperoni Puff Pastry Bites

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1/2 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

20-25 slices of pepperoni

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Prepare Puff Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry sheet slightly on a floured surface. Cut into small squares (about 2×2 inches).

3. Assemble Bites: Place a small amount of marinara sauce in the center of each square. Add a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and a slice of pepperoni.

4. Seal and Fold: Fold the corners of the pastry squares towards the center, enclosing the filling. Pinch the edges to seal.

5. Add Toppings: Brush the tops with the beaten egg. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.

6. Bake: Arrange the bites on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

7. Serve: Let cool for a few minutes and serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
