Ingredients
2 slices whole-grain bread, toasted
1 ripe avocado, mashed
1 cup mushrooms (button or cremini), sliced
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Directions
Sauté mushrooms: Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and tender.
Prepare avocado spread: Mash the ripe avocado in a bowl and season lightly with salt and pepper to taste.
Assemble the toast: Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the toasted bread slices. Top with sautéed mushrooms.
Garnish and serve: Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top for extra flavor and crunch. Serve immediately for a quick and delicious breakfast or snack!
