Herb-Crusted Baked Chicken
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh thyme for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare Crust Mixture:
In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, thyme, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
3. Coat Chicken:
Brush each chicken breast with olive oil to help the crust stick. Press the breadcrumb mixture onto each chicken breast, coating evenly on all sides.
4. Bake:
Place the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
5. Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with fresh thyme and serve hot. This dish pairs perfectly with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
