Hearty Beef Stew
Ingredients:
500g beef chuck, cut into cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups beef broth
1 cup water
3 carrots, chopped
2 potatoes, diced
½ cup green peas
1 cup cabbage, shredded
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried thyme
½ tsp paprika
1 bay leaf
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Brown the beef cubes for 5 minutes. Remove and set aside. In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant. Add beef back to the pot. Pour in beef broth and water, then add salt, pepper, thyme, paprika, and bay leaf. Simmer for 45 minutes. Add carrots, potatoes, and cabbage, cooking for another 20 minutes until tender. Stir in green peas and cook for 5 more minutes. Remove bay leaf, serve hot, and enjoy!
