Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi
Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
3 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves (minced)
1/4 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Lemon slices (for garnish)
Directions
Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted.
Cook the garlic: Add minced garlic and red chili flakes, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Sauté the shrimp: Add the shrimp in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through.
Deglaze the skillet: Pour in white wine and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes. Add lemon juice and stir well.
Finish with parsley: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and toss to coat.
Serve: Garnish with lemon slices and serve immediately over pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
