Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients:
8 oz (225g) fettuccine or spaghetti
1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta: Boil the fettuccine in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
3. Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and black pepper.
4. Combine: Add the cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
5. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. This dish pairs perfectly with a side of garlic bread!
