“Garlic Butter Shrimp in Creamy Sauce
”
Ingredients
1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt & black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Shrimp:
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
Cook the Shrimp:
Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Pour in heavy cream and stir well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine:
Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss in the creamy sauce until well coated.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm as an appetizer or over rice or pasta for a main dish.
