French Onion Meatloaf
This comforting twist on a classic meatloaf brings the flavors of French onion soup to your dinner table. 2 lbs ground beef
2 large onions, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Caramelize onions in butter and oil, add garlic.
2. Mix meat with caramelized onions, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
3. Shape, bake at 350°F for 45-50 mins.
4. Simmer remaining onions with broth, top loaf with cheese, broil until golden.
