Decadent Chocolate Layer Cake

Ingredients:

Cake Layers:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 3/4 cups granulated sugar

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water

Filling and Topping:

1 1/2 cups chocolate buttercream frosting

1 cup caramel sauce

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/4 cup shredded coconut

1/2 cup melted chocolate

Instructions:

1. Prepare the cake layers:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

Gradually stir in boiling water until the batter is thin.

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool completely on a wire rack.

2. Assemble the cake:

Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a thick layer of chocolate buttercream frosting over it.

Drizzle caramel sauce on top of the frosting.

Place the second cake layer on top.

3. Decorate the cake:

Pour melted chocolate over the top of the cake, letting it drip down the sides.

Sprinkle chopped pecans and shredded coconut on top.

Add dollops of chocolate frosting decoratively on top.

4. Serve and enjoy:

Slice and serve this rich, indulgent chocolate cake. Perfect for special occasions!
