Crispy Mozzarella Bites
Ingredients:
Cheese:
12 oz mozzarella cheese (cut into 1-inch cubes)
Breading:
1 cup flour
2 large eggs (beaten)
1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs (Panko for extra crunch)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
For Frying:
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
For Dipping:
Marinara sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the Mozzarella:
Cut mozzarella into bite-sized cubes and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Set Up the Breading Station:
Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a third.
Bread the Mozzarella:
Dip each cheese cube into flour, then coat it in the egg mixture, and finally press it into the breadcrumbs. Repeat for extra crunch.
Chill the Bites:
Place the breaded cheese bites on a tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes. This prevents melting while frying.
Fry to Perfection:
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the mozzarella bites in batches until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
Serve & Enjoy:
Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping. Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch!
