Crispy Fried Mozzarella Bites

Ingredients:
For the Mozzarella Bites:

12 mozzarella sticks, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying

For the Marinara Sauce:

1 cup marinara sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried basil

Instructions:
Prepare the Mozzarella Bites

In separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Coat each mozzarella piece in flour, dip into the beaten eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat for a thicker crust.
Fry the Bites

Heat oil in a skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry the mozzarella bites in batches for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Prepare the Marinara Sauce

In a small saucepan, heat marinara sauce over medium heat. Stir in garlic powder and dried basil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve & Enjoy

Plate the crispy mozzarella bites with the warm marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
