Instructions
1. Marinate the Chicken:
Place the chicken drumsticks in a large bowl.
Add the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results).
2. Prepare the Coating:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and paprika.
3. Coat the Chicken:
Remove the drumsticks from the marinade, letting the excess drip off.
Roll each drumstick in the flour mixture until fully coated.
Place the coated chicken on a tray and let it rest for 10-15 minutes to allow the coating to set.
4. Fry the Chicken:
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 175°C (350°F).
Fry the chicken drumsticks in batches for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 75°C or 165°F).
Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
5. Serve:
Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
Serve hot with crispy fries and a creamy dipping sauce of your choice!
