Crispy Beer-Battered Fish & Chips
Ingredients:
1 lb flaky white fish
1 cup flour
½ cup cornstarch
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp sea salt
1 cup cold beer
1 egg white
3 cups frying oil
4 large potatoes (cut into fries)
Instructions:
Preheat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Combine flour, cornstarch, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
Whisk in the egg white and beer until smooth.
Dip fish fillets in batter, ensuring an even coat.
Fry fish for 4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
Drain on paper towels.
Fry fries until golden, then season with salt.
Enjoy with tartar sauce or ketchup!
