Creamy Spinach Parmesan Orzo

Ingredients

1 cup orzo pasta
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ cups chicken or vegetable broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup fresh spinach leaves
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for garnish)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a kick)
Directions

Cook Orzo:

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add orzo and sauté for 2–3 minutes until lightly golden.
Add Liquids:

Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute). Then pour in the broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
Simmer:

Reduce heat to low and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender and the sauce thickens.
Add Spinach & Cheese:

Stir in spinach and cook until wilted. Mix in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasonings as needed.
Garnish & Serve:

Serve hot with an extra sprinkle of Parmesan and a pinch of red pepper flakes, if desired.
