Creamy Skillet Chicken Noodle Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
3 cups egg noodles (uncooked)
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
2 tbsp butter
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Noodles:
Boil the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sauté Aromatics:
In a large oven-safe skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add onion and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant (about 3-4 minutes).
Mix the Sauce:
Stir in the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and chicken broth.
Season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Combine Ingredients:
Add the shredded chicken and cooked noodles to the skillet.
Mix well to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
Top with Cheese:
Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Bake:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the skillet uncovered for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
