Creamy Shrimp Pasta

This creamy shrimp pasta is a delicious combination of succulent shrimp and rich, velvety sauce served over a bed of perfectly cooked pasta. It’s a comforting and indulgent dish that’s perfect for dinner.

Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Optional: 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

Instructions:
Cook the pasta: Boil salted water and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

Cook the shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.

Make the creamy sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

Add the cheese: Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper. If using, add diced tomatoes for extra flavor and color.

Combine the pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta in the creamy mixture.

Serve: Plate the creamy pasta and top with the cooked shrimp. Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of extra Parmesan cheese.
