Creamy Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients:
For the Shrimp:

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

For the Pasta:

8 oz spaghetti or your preferred pasta

Salt, for the pasta water

For the Creamy Sauce:

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Red pepper flakes, for garnish
(optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Pasta:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water for the sauce.
Cook the Shrimp:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes (if using).
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce:

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper, followed by heavy cream. Stir to combine.
Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
If the sauce is too thick, add the reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
Combine the Pasta and Shrimp:

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the creamy sauce, tossing to coat the pasta.
Add the cooked shrimp back into the skillet and mix everything together.
Serve and Garnish:

Plate the creamy shrimp pasta.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
