Description
For the Flatbread:
1 store-bought or homemade flatbread
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small apple, thinly sliced
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup shredded Fontina cheese
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
For the Cinnamon Honey Drizzle:
2 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small pan over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté apple slices with cinnamon and sea salt for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
Place flatbread on the prepared baking sheet. Evenly layer sautéed apples and dried cranberries over the flatbread.
Sprinkle with shredded Fontina cheese and optional chopped nuts for added crunch.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
While baking, mix honey and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Remove flatbread from the oven and drizzle with cinnamon honey before serving. Slice and enjoy!
