Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
12 oz (340g) fettuccine pasta
2 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
2. Cook the Pasta: Boil the fettuccine in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Add nutmeg if desired. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Combine: Toss the cooked fettuccine in the Alfredo sauce until evenly coated. Slice the chicken and arrange on top of the pasta.
5. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot. This dish is perfect for a comforting, indulgent meal!
