Description
Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients:
300g penne pasta (or your choice of pasta)
2 chicken breasts (sliced into strips)
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic (minced)
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken strips with salt and pepper, then cook until golden and fully cooked (about 4-5 minutes per side). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Alfredo sauce:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the heavy cream.
Simmer gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add grated Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and nutmeg, and stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
4. Combine pasta and chicken:
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until fully coated. Add the cooked chicken on top and let it heat through for 2 minutes.
5. Garnish and serve:
Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
