Classic Spaghetti Bolognese

A comforting Italian favorite with a rich, flavorful meat sauce and cheesy goodness!

Ingredients:
For the Bolognese Sauce

2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 lb (450 g) ground beef or pork

1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes

2 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup beef broth (or red wine for extra flavor)

1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil

Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Pasta

12 oz (350 g) spaghetti

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until soft. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.

Simmer the Sauce:
Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, beef broth (or wine), oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine and Serve:
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce until well coated. Serve on plates, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
