Classic Beef Lasagna

Ingredients:

Meat Sauce:

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

3 garlic cloves, minced

24 oz marinara sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Cheese Layer:

15 oz ricotta cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

2 tbsp chopped parsley

Pasta:

12 lasagna noodles, cooked

Instructions:

1. Prepare Meat Sauce: In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic. Add ground beef, cook until browned, then stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

2. Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, and parsley.

3. Layering: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a layer of meat sauce at the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer noodles, cheese mixture, and meat sauce. Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with meat sauce. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.

4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

5. Serve: Let rest for 10 minutes, slice, and enjoy!
