Classic American Goulash
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
Directions
Cook the Beef: In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
Sauté Aromatics: Add onion and garlic to the pot. Cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
Add Liquids: Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Season with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Simmer the Pasta: Add uncooked elbow macaroni to the pot. Stir, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
Serve: Ladle into bowls and enjoy warm! Sprinkle with shredded cheese, if desired.
