Chicken Pizza with Herbs and Basil

Ingredients:

For the pizza dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp instant yeast

2 tbsp olive oil

¾ cup warm water

For the sauce:

1 cup tomato sauce

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

For the toppings:

2 grilled chicken breasts, sliced

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped

1 tsp dried thyme or oregano

Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions:

1. Prepare the dough:

In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.

Add olive oil and warm water, and knead until a smooth dough forms.

Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour.

2. Prepare the sauce:

Heat olive oil in a skillet, then add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Add the tomato sauce, oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Assemble the pizza:

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).

Roll out the dough on a floured surface and place it on a greased baking tray.

Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, then add the grilled chicken slices.

Top with fresh basil, dried thyme, and drizzle a little olive oil.

4. Bake:

Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.

5. Serve and enjoy!
