“Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cups heavy cream
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Salt & black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Cream Sauce:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
Stir in heavy cream, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer, then remove from heat.
Assemble the Dish:
In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes. Pour half of the cream sauce over the potatoes, then sprinkle half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cream sauce, and cheese.
Bake:
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Serve:
Let the scalloped potatoes cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
