Cheesy Macaroni with Sausage

Cheesy Macaroni with Sausage

Ingredients:

2 cups elbow macaroni

1 tbsp olive oil

6 sausage links, sliced

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:

Boil macaroni in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Sausages:

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Add sausage slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.

3. Prepare the Cheese Sauce:

In a pot, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux.

Gradually add milk, whisking until the mixture thickens.

Stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheeses until smooth.

4. Combine:

Mix cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce.

Top with the cooked sausage slices.

5. Serve:

Transfer to a bowl, garnish with fresh parsley, and enjoy warm.
