Cheesy Chicken Tater Tot Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Mix the Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
3. Assemble the Casserole:
Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the chicken mixture in a single layer.
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top.
4. Bake the Casserole:
Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
5. Garnish and Serve:
Remove from oven and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Serve warm.
