Cheesy Beef and Jalapeño Casserole
Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup salsa
2 fresh jalapeños, sliced
1/2 cup sour cream (for topping)
Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions
1. Cook the Beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
Add the onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the onion softens.
2. Assemble the Casserole:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a casserole dish, spread the beef mixture evenly.
Pour the salsa over the beef and spread a layer of shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
Arrange the sliced jalapeños evenly across the top.
3. Bake:
Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
4. Garnish and Serve:
Top with sour cream and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
