Cheesy Baked Spaghetti Casserole
Ingredients
1 lb spaghetti
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1/2 cup cream or milk
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Cook the Spaghetti:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Meat Sauce:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add the ground beef or sausage and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in marinara sauce, cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Combine and Layer:
In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked spaghetti with the meat sauce. Transfer half of the mixture to a greased baking dish.
Sprinkle half of the mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses over the spaghetti. Add the remaining spaghetti mixture and top with the rest of the cheeses.
Bake the Casserole:
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot. Pair with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
