Cheesy Baked Spaghetti Casserole
Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti
2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh basil (for garnish)
Directions
Cook the Spaghetti: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Mix the Ricotta: In a large bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
Combine: Add the cooked spaghetti to the ricotta mixture and toss to coat evenly.
Assemble: In a greased baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Add the spaghetti mixture, top with the remaining marinara sauce, and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot. Perfect for a cozy family dinner!
