Ingredients:

For the Dough:

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ tsp)

1 tsp sugar

¾ cup warm water

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

For the Topping:

1 cup pizza sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

Olive oil for brushing

Instructions:

Prepare the dough: In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and stir to form a dough. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp towel and let it rise for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.

Shape the dough: Punch down the dough and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it into a circle or desired shape, about 12 inches in diameter. Place the dough onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza stone.

Add toppings: Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously on top. Add garlic powder, oregano, and basil for extra flavor.

Bake the pizza: Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.

Serve: Let the pizza cool for a minute before slicing. Enjoy your delicious homemade cheese pizza!
