Ingredients:

1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Whipped cream, for garnish

Maraschino cherries, for garnish

Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

1. Caramel Preparation: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar and stir until it dissolves completely. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until a caramel sauce forms.

2. Cook the Pineapple: Add the pineapple slices to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they caramelize and absorb the sauce.

3. Add the Cream and Vanilla: Slowly pour the heavy cream into the skillet, stirring continuously. Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Simmer for an additional 2 minutes.

4. Assemble the Dessert: Place a slice of caramelized pineapple on a serving plate. Drizzle with extra caramel sauce from the skillet.

5. Garnish: Top with whipped cream, a maraschino cherry, and a light dusting of powdered sugar.

6. Serve: Enjoy this decadent dessert warm!
