Caramelized Apples
Ingredients:
4 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cup water
Instructions:
1. Melt the Butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
2. Cook the Apples: Add the sliced apples to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add Sugar and Spices: Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg over the apples. Stir well to coat.
4. Simmer: Add water and cook for an additional 8–10 minutes until the apples are tender and the sauce is thickened.
5. Serve Warm: Transfer to a serving dish.
