Caramel Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cheesecake Layer:

500g cream cheese, softened

1 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

For the Caramel Layer:

1 cup caramel sauce

1/2 tsp sea salt (optional)

For Garnish:

Whipped cream

Powdered sugar

Instructions:

Prepare the Crust

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter.

Press the mixture firmly into a lined 9×9-inch baking pan. Bake for 8 minutes, then let cool.

Make the Cheesecake Layer

Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.

Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream.

Pour the mixture over the cooled crust.

Bake the Cheesecake

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set.

Let the cheesecake cool completely before adding the caramel layer.

Add the Caramel Layer

Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the cooled cheesecake layer. Sprinkle with sea salt, if desired.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.

Garnish and Serve

Cut into squares, dust with powdered sugar, and top with whipped cream.
