Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Ingredients
1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
3 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp ginger, grated
For the Sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 tsp sesame oil
For Garnish:
Sesame seeds
Green onions, sliced
Directions
Step 1: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, water, and sesame oil to create the sauce. Set aside.
Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: In the same skillet, heat the remaining oil. Add garlic, ginger, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
Step 4: Return the beef to the skillet. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Step 5: Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top. Serve hot with steamed rice!
