Bacon-Wrapped Smoked Cabbage
Ingredients
1 medium head of cabbage (core removed)
10-12 slices of thick-cut bacon
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup barbecue sauce (optional for glazing)
Directions
Preheat your smoker or grill to 250°F (120°C).
Mix olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
Rub the seasoning mixture all over the cabbage.
(Optional): Gently separate the cabbage leaves and stuff shredded cheddar cheese between layers for extra flavor.
Wrap the cabbage entirely with bacon slices, overlapping them to fully cover the cabbage.
Secure the bacon with toothpicks if necessary.
Smoke the cabbage for 3–4 hours until the bacon is crispy and the cabbage is tender.
(Optional): Brush the bacon with barbecue sauce during the last 20 minutes for extra flavor.
Slice and serve hot!
