Bacon Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese
Ingredients:
250g elbow macaroni
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup whole milk
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup cooked crispy bacon, crumbled
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat, add ground beef, and cook until browned. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Remove from heat and set aside. In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly until smooth. Mix in Dijon mustard, then add cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted. Combine cooked macaroni, beef, and half of the crumbled bacon into the cheese sauce. Pour into a baking dish, top with remaining cheese and bacon, and broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly and golden. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot. Enjoy!
