Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

1 tsp garlic powder

1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

4 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled

4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

1 cup heavy cream

2 tbsp butter, melted

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Potatoes
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange sliced potatoes in the bottom of a greased baking dish. Drizzle with melted butter and season with salt and pepper.

2. Cook the Beef
In a skillet, cook ground beef with onions and garlic powder until browned. Drain excess fat and mix in diced tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Assemble the Casserole
Spread the beef mixture over the potatoes. Pour heavy cream over the top. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly.

4. Add the Bacon
Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top for a crispy finish.

5. Bake
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.

6. Serve & Enjoy
Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired.
