Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles
Ingredients:
For the Cookie Dough:
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
– 2 tbsp milk
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
For the Coating:
– 12 oz milk chocolate, melted
– Extra mini chocolate chips for garnish
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add in the milk and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
3. Gradually add the heat-treated flour and salt, stirring until fully incorporated. Then, fold in the mini chocolate chips.
4. Roll the cookie dough into small, bite-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for about 30 minutes until firm.
5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
6. Dip each cookie dough ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Place them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. Before the chocolate sets, garnish each truffle with extra mini chocolate chips for a decorative touch.
8. Allow the truffles to set completely, either at room temperature or in the fridge for faster results.
