Luscious Boston Cream Pie Croissants
Ingredients:
4 croissants
1 cup vanilla pastry cream
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice the croissants in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom piece.
Spoon a generous amount of vanilla pastry cream onto the bottom half of each croissant, then place the top half back on.
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and pour over the chocolate chips, stirring until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
Drizzle the chocolate glaze over the top of each croissant.
Sprinkle chopped pecans over the chocolate glaze.
Place the croissants on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes, until the chocolate is set and the croissants are slightly warm.
