Chocolate Caramel Truffle Bombs
Ingredients:
For the Truffles:
1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
For the Coating:
½ cup melted dark chocolate
½ cup melted caramel sauce
¼ cup chocolate chips for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Truffle Base: In a heatproof bowl, melt semisweet chocolate chips with heavy cream over a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
2. Stir in vanilla extract and salt, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm.
3. Shape the Truffles: Once firm, scoop out small portions and roll into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 30 minutes.
4. Coat the Truffles: Drizzle melted dark chocolate over the chilled truffles, followed by the melted caramel sauce.
5. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and let set at room temperature or in the fridge for 10 minutes.
