Beef Tacos with Cheddar and Fresh Salsa

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

8 taco shells

2 tomatoes, diced

1/2 cup chopped cilantro

1/4 cup diced onion (optional)

Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Beef:

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef.

Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes.

2. Warm the Taco Shells:

Heat taco shells in the oven for 3-5 minutes at 350°F (175°C).

3. Assemble the Tacos:

Spoon the seasoned beef into each taco shell.

Sprinkle cheddar cheese generously over the beef.

Top with diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and onions (if using).

4. Serve:

Squeeze a little lime juice on top for a zesty flavor.
