Description
Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients:
12 oz fettuccine pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Alfredo Sauce:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
For Garnish:
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta: Boil the fettuccine pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet, let rest for 5 minutes, and slice into strips.
3. Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens. Season with nutmeg (if using), salt, and black pepper.
4. Combine: Toss the cooked fettuccine pasta in the Alfredo sauce until fully coated. Add the sliced chicken on top.
5. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
