Crispy Fish and Chips with Dipping Sauces

Ingredients:

300g white fish fillets (cod or haddock)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetable oil for frying

French fries for serving

Fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Dipping Sauces:

1. Tartar sauce

2. Ketchup

3. Spicy mayo (mix mayonnaise with a dash of hot sauce)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Fish:

Cut the fish into strips or bite-sized pieces.

Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

2. Coating the Fish:

Coat each piece of fish in flour, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

3. Frying:

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot.

Fry the fish pieces until golden brown and crispy (about 3-4 minutes per side).

Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

4. Serve:

Arrange the crispy fish and fries on a plate.

Sprinkle with fresh chives for garnish, if desired.

Serve with the dipping sauces on the side.
